This adapter allows you to add a standalone engine management system to your project that is utilizing factory 1986-1993 Ford Mustang wiring.

Ford Mustang 1986-1993 M.F. Plug and Play Adapter is compatible with the following:

1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0 - Manual Transmission
1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0 - Automatic Transmission (AOD)

For the optional sensors we have wired our sub harness to work directly with Low Doller Motorsports sensors.

Flex Fuel requires the use of a Continental 13577379 or 13507129 sensor.

Electric Fan Control (optional):

To make installing and controlling an aftermarket electric fan easy, the M.F. Adapter utilizes pin 41 on the Factory ECU connector as a ground trigger for a relay.

Vehicle Speed Sensor (optional):

If you would like to have your factory vehicle speed sensor data logged and used by the standalone engine management system it requires the Holley Terminator X Max ECU. This does not affect the speedometer on the gauge cluster.

Transmission:

The 1986-1993 Ford Mustang did not utilize a computer controlled transmission (e.g. AODE). If your project has an AODE/4R70W or any other computer controlled transmission, you will need to order the correct transmission harness from Holley directly or one of their suppliers.

First and foremost, I want to call out the fact that this is an amazing product created by a true, to-the-core, enthusiast. The knowledge, willingness to help, and responsiveness from this team is second to none. It has a straight forward, small, solid design that even if you have made factory harness modifications, etc. it will fit into the factory kick panel of your car. All of my MAF specific changes to the main harness remain in place. VSS (non-cruise control GT) and Pin 19 fuel pump monitor. I also had modifications to my harness for my TwEECer RT that work through this adapter with basic Holley I/O config (same setup as Moates Quarter Horse): Pin 41 for fan control and Pin 27 for 0-5v WBO2 logging. One note: Select Ford Modular ACT and ECT sensors for your tune. Again, this is an amazing, high-quality product built by an enthusiast! I highly recommend this product to anyone who is considering this swap... this makes it SO MUCH easier and is very well supported!
